Continuing education as value creation

The continuing education sector explicitly regards itself as serving the goals of lifelong learning. In fact, however, it is oriented towards market and measures its success according to sales products. article analyses this orientation from perspectives educational sociology discourse theory illustrates consequences using examples Swiss market. author develops an alternative approach whereby measured value creates for individuals society.
